Short answer: your climb is private. What you post in the community is public.
Public: what you post here
•
Your posts and comments, and which posts you liked (the author sees your name in their notifications).
•
Your community profile: the name you choose before your first post, a handle, the date you joined, your posts, and how many posts and comments you have written. The name never comes from your email or your Apple or Google account. Profile pages ask search engines not to list them.
Anyone can read posts and comments without an account, and search engines can show posts in their results. That includes every category, Struggles & Support too.
Private: everything else
Your email address, your day count, your check-ins, your reasons, your private notes and your Sage conversations are never shown in the community. There is no day count on your profile. Reports are private, and so is muting: the person is never told.
Habits that help
•
Use a name you go by, not your full name.
•
Leave out where you live or work, and anything that identifies someone else.
Changing your mind
You can delete any of your posts or comments at any time, with or without a plan. Editing one needs an active plan. Deleting a post removes the comments under it. A deleted comment that others replied to leaves "This comment was removed" in its place, so their replies stay. Deleted posts show as not found on stillmonk.io within about a minute, and search engines drop them the next time they visit. Copies that other people or services made can stay visible for a while, and we cannot remove those. Deleting your account deletes your community profile, posts, comments, likes, reports and mutes with it.
The full details are in the privacy policy at stillmonk.io/privacy.
One more habit: if you mention someone in your life, use a role instead of a name, like my brother or a friend from work. It protects them, and you.
