Every reminder starts off. You choose which ones to turn on, and you can turn any of them off at any time in Settings, under Notifications.
The four reminders, and what they say
•
Daily check-in, at a time you choose. "Stillmonk check-in: One honest word for today. How are you feeling?"
•
Milestones, the day after you reach a new place on the trail, at your check-in time. "A new place on the trail: You reached Camp 1. The view is worth a look."
•
A gentle evening nudge. "A gentle trail nudge: If today gets heavy, breathe first. Everything you need is here."
•
Daily wisdom. "A quiet thought: The mountain is patient. So is your strength."
Each one has a few versions, and none of them names the habit, so they are calm to land on a lock screen. They play no sound.
After your first check-in, the app offers reminders once. If you tap Turn on reminders, it turns on two: Daily check-in and Milestones. Everything else stays off until you choose it.
Where they come from
Your phone schedules the reminders itself. Stillmonk does not use a push-notification service and does not collect a device push token.
If you turn on the check-in reminder, pick a time when you usually have a quiet minute anyway. Then the reminder arrives when you can actually use it.
