What happens to my day count after a slip?

Your count begins again from today. Your longest climb is kept.

What the app does

You can tell the app in two places: in urge support (tap I feel an urge, then I already slipped, what now?), or with Begin again in Settings. Either way:
•
Your day count starts over from today.
•
Your longest climb is kept, and the app shows it to you.
•
Your badges are kept.
•
Nothing is posted anywhere. A slip is between you and the app.

Why it works this way

The count is a lantern, not a judge. It shows where you are on the mountain today. It is not a grade on who you are. Day three is not worth less than day three hundred: both are someone choosing, today, to climb.
What you learned on the way up stays yours too: your hardest hours, the doors urges use, what helped and what did not. Starting again is not starting over.

If it happened today

Go gently tonight. There is a short plan for the first evening in this category, and Struggles & Support is here if you want to say it out loud.
If the slip came with thoughts that frightened you, the pinned post in Struggles & Support says what to do. You do not have to carry that alone.
