The places on the climb

Each day on the climb moves your monk one step higher, and the trail passes through the seasons as it goes. Along the way there are places worth stopping at. Here are the first of them, up to day 60.
•
Trailhead, day 0. Early spring. A wooden sign where every climb begins, and begins again.
•
Camp 1, day 7. Late spring. A small tent and a fire ring among the pines.
•
Camp 2, day 14. High summer. A bare ridge with a stone lantern, and clouds drifting below the trail.
•
Camp 3, day 21. Autumn. Red and gold trees, and a small stack of stones.
•
The Monastery, day 30. First snow. A gate at the top of stone steps.
•
Camp 4, day 37. Deep winter. A stone hut above the cloud sea, a lantern in the window and a box of notes by the door.
•
The Hot Spring, day 45. Late winter. Warm water among the late snow. Even the stream pauses here.
•
The Stone Garden, day 52. The thaw. Raked gravel, three mossy stones and plum buds.
•
Butterfly Meadow, day 60. Second spring, warm and gold, with a bench among the flowers. A place to rest.

Past the meadow

The trail goes on for a year, and beyond. We've left the later places out on purpose: the app only ever shows you the next one, so each new place comes as a surprise.
After a slip, the count begins again from today and your longest climb is kept, so the places you reached stay part of your story.
Several places have a Library story that goes with them. Ren reaching the monastery gate is The open gate, in the Library under Stories.
When you reach one, you are welcome to share it here. If your win is smaller than a camp, it belongs in Share a small win, pinned at the top of this category.
