You are trusting us with something private. So the short version first: your climb is yours, we collect as little as we can, and we do not sell any of it.
Who we are
Stillmonk is built and operated by the team behind stillmonk.io. If you want anything on this page explained, or you want your data deleted, write to support@stillmonk.io and a person will answer.
What the app stores
To do its job, Stillmonk keeps the things you put into it: your day count and longest climb, the reasons you write down, your daily check-in answers, and your app settings such as reminder time. If you create an account, we store the email address you signed up with so your climb can follow you to a new phone.
We do not ask for your name, your age, your location, your contacts or your photos. There is no friends list and no leaderboard, and nothing about your climb is visible to other people unless you choose to post a note to the community board. A posted note carries only the first name you chose and your day count, and you can delete it.
What this website collects
If you give us your email address to be told when the app opens, we store that address for exactly that purpose and delete it on request. The fonts on this site are served from our own domain rather than a font provider, so reading this page does not hand your IP address to a third party.
Payments
Subscriptions are bought and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. We never see or store your card details. We do receive confirmation of whether your subscription is active so the app knows what to unlock.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that make the app work, such as hosting, crash reporting and the app stores, and only as far as they need it to do that work. If the law compels us to hand something over, we will comply, and we will tell you unless we are forbidden to.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists, plus a short period afterwards for backups. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your climb and your reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@stillmonk.io. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Stillmonk is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect anything from children, and if we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change actually matters to you, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
